Feedback

In the past two years, multiple team members at AE and myself have automated a lot of repetitive tasks at work and in our personal lives. For example, I created this Google sheets workflow that saves me at 45 minutes a week of copying and pasting numbers from several websites and put it into one Google sheet (so I can manipulate the data and graph it). This took me about twenty minutes to set up and has saved me at least 80+ hours at this point.

Brooks invented this automation workflow where he can drop a file into a folder and it’ll automatically get sorted, organized and filed away based on what the content of the file is, e.g. a bank statement gets filed in a different folder than a family photo. This workflow saves Brooks, according to him, at least an hour a day dealing with files.

Automation is a topic that most people think is only reserved for coders and people with lots of technical expertise. That’s not true! That’s why we want to help you and show you how you can get started with automation (even if you never automated anything and have never done anything technical).

We’re about to create blog posts, podcast episodes and a new course on automation. Automation has been a huge game-changer for us. We want to show you how you can save 5+ hours a week with automation (without having any coding or technical knowledge).

To best help you, can you answer these two questions?

  1. When it comes to automation, what is your single biggest challenge or frustration?
  2. What have you tried so far and didn’t work? If you didn’t try anything yet, why not?

This will give me a good idea of how we can best serve you. We’ll also create workflows and scripts that we’ll give away for free based on your feedback.

  1. 1. Some types of advanced automation require knowing how to code; i.e. phython, scripts, etc
    2. Most of my automation challenges currently stem from overcoming limitations of iOS. I haven’t found an efficient way to quickly record detailed contact/lead information in iOS for example. I’ve tried several apps but none seem to do it as efficiently as I would like. Business accounting on iOS is another workflow area I’d like to improve .

  2. 1. Figuring WHAT to automate. Even if I have an idea what to automate, I’m not sure if it is possible
    2. Siri Shorcuts, IFTTT
