So far we’ve talked about how you want to focus on just one habit at a time. I know it’s not easy to do when you want to make a lot of changes at once, but it’s the best thing you can do to succeed at forming new habits.
The second best thing you can do is to be very specific with your habit. This will help you avoid habit mistake #2: being vague with your habits.
Saying “I will exercise more” or “read more books” is like saying that you’re going to win the lottery. Not gonna happen grasshopper.
When your habits are vague you’re setting yourself up for failure and disappointment. You want to be more specific and I will show you how in this next video (with a couple examples you can use right away):
