  1. SAS … Absolutely. Also Panera as they have cushy seats … the #1 criteria… larger Starbucks sometimes do and so far I’ve yet to see a Starbucks with a good wifi. Also bigger libraries such as Exton and Luddington.

Ambient Noise and productivity … not a surprise since ‘asyncronous mindless work’ were many people find themselves their most creative such as gardening, driving, cleaning … AND SHOWERING (#1 creative ‘workspace’ for me) have an ambient noise going along with them.

Even when I’m working I find if you have brown noise … something … it kinda moderates one’s thinking. (If you’re a guitar player, musician, perhaps you know what a compressor is … it reduces the bandwidth of the signal … and I think this is what Zoloft basically does; it helps moderate some of the excessive highs and lows so there’s less chance of getting distracted.

  2. I live the Philadelphia / Delaware suburbs and I find that Wegmans Grocery store is the best place to work. Mine is open 24/7, they have a huge seating/dining area, with lots and lots of outlets and very good wireless. A worker told me that is deliberate, so people gather there, and then naturally gravitate towards the ready-made food which is where Wegmans highest margins are. I don’t usually buy any food / drink when I am there, but I do give them plenty of grocery business at other times. They even have a kids area with kids TV and once I brought the kids there when wife had to work that night, and I had to get stuff done, as it kept them occupied.

  3. I’ve been looking for some local coffee roasters, and I think that being able to get some information would be good. I’m glad you talked about how you can get a cheat sheet, which I think would be good. I’m going to have to look into some different local coffee roaster, and see what we can find!
