Last week we released a podcast episode on how to build a second brain and get organized. The guest was Tiago Forte (the creator behind Building A Second Brain) and we talked about his system for organizing ideas and information. If you’re a knowledge worker and are unorganized, then you need to check out this podcast episode.

Most of you are dealing with lots of pieces of information like email attachments, digital notes, and ideas written down somewhere on our computer but you have no way of organizing all that information.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had all your knowledge and information organized? Wouldn’t be efficient to have everything easily accessible?

That’s what Tiago teaches for a living through his online courses. One of the things he’s known for is the PARA method which stands for:

  • Projects
  • Areas
  • Resources
  • Archives

It’s his organizational system to help you be more organized and creative. It doesn’t matter if you follow a productivity system already (like GTD, 12 Week Year, etc) because it’s a separate organizational system. In fact, it complements nicely with any personal productivity system you already have because who doesn’t benefit from a more organized projects, files, and ideas setup?

Everyone does! Including me.

The premise of building a second brain is just that – to have another brain that can store ideas and easily access bits of information you need, anytime. Imagine being able to find any idea you wrote down, files you downloaded, attachments on any of your devices within seconds. How much more efficient would you be?

Probably a lot!

I asked Tiago if he would be open to give a free training session to Asian Efficiency readers and he was excited about the idea. He’s a busy guy but we managed to find an afternoon to get him to help AE readers like you.

So if you want to learn how to build a second brain and become more organized, then I invite you to join us live next Monday on Aug 10th, it’s coming up real soon.

Here’s the link to register for this free training.

If you cannot make it live, don’t worry! We’ll record it but we will only send out the recording to those who registered (so we only send it to people who are truly interested). So sign up now before life gets in the way.

Here’s the link again. I’ll be there too and I can’t wait to see you there.

  1. Hi all.
I registered for the live session, but couldn’t attend. My understanding was, that I could access the recording afterwards. Am I wrong or can you point me into the right direction?
    Thanks from Germany
    Eike.
