I find with DEVONthink that I have the benefits of local search without a subscription and it indexes only what I tell it too. I think the challenge with Rewind will be like task managers where people get overwhelmed with capturing every task even the ones they have no real intention of doing. If Rewind collects everything then 90+% of the that will likely be junk and that will impact the quality of search results when you need to find something.
